A necessary component to successfully implement OFAFFU – Organic Farming for Future – is to develop an appropriate training programme.For this very reason, we will develop a curriculum for training, create training materials and compile a compact training manual. The training contents will take into account the following focal points:
  • Knowledge in organic farming (permaculture, biodiversity, water management, soil conservation, pest control, etc. )
  • Sustainability values and interrelationships in the overall ecosystem
  • Sustainable farm concepts from agriculture

Practical approach and transformative learning methods

We follow a practical approach and transformative learning methods based on the latest neurobiological findings. After all, learning should also be fun!
The training manual includes a compact guide for trainers who want to pass on the training content, information on ECVET and methods for the interactive design of our training programme. Furthermore, we refer to the European Reference Framework for Sustainability GreenComp.

With the analysis and development of a suitable training programme, OFAFFU contributes to raising awareness of complex environmental and climate issues, to strengthening the development and promotion of sustainability competences and to increasing motivation for sustainable management.

The OFAFFU Training

You are innovative, like to network beyond your own nose and enjoy learning new things? Then be part of our OFAFFU training. Because with OFAFFU there is also a unique opportunity to complete such a training yourself. For the first time, we will hold our training course in Caudiel / Spain in March 2024 with ten selected farmers from Austria and Spain. The training will take place over 5 days and is a great opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people. Course of events:

  • Day 2 - Future of Agriculture | Global, Regional and Local Developments and Impacts | Need for Action
  • Day 3 - Old knowledge for a new time. Dimensions of organic farming and methods of holistic agriculture.
  • Day 4 - Sustainable Farming Concepts | Economic & Ecological Management | Good Practice Examples
  • Day 5 - Harvest & Transfer
